Fashion Meets Music Pomp and Circumstance – A Royal Affair fashion extravaganza produced by Dennica Abdo and hosted by Heather Chadwell and Andrew J. Markham III held at Busby’s (former original Conga Room) in celebration of Brit week was a smashing success. The models and designers were equal stunners as well as the celebrity guests and performers. This show did not miss a beat. The music, the people, the models and celebs were the ultimate in Hollywood glitz and glam. The event catered to a group that knows how to cause a sensation. Just when you thought you saw it all another designer would steal the runway with their gorgeous array of models and designs.

Standouts were Lynette Tyner (DeZire). Ms. Tyner made her appearance on the red carpet in a long black dress and contrasting wide white brimmed hat. While George Hamilton a British gentleman who flew in from London for the occasion represented his line English Gents to perfection. He was pressed to a fine finished crease from head to toe. Hamilton’s models were some of the most deliciously handsome young men to ever set foot on a stage.

As celebrities watched the show, some decided to take the mic and make their presence known. One such celeb included the world’s funniest comedienne, Luenell who had the audience eating out of her hand. Then sassy Kathleen Bradley (former Barker’s beauty of the Price Is Right) wearing a neck piece by Margaret Bush-Ware, came right behind her, grabbed the mike and invited the press to “come on down” for a closer look. Ms. Bradley posed and posed and gave a photo opp worth millions!!!!! We might catch that one on TMZ!

R&B Singer Marva King (Prince and the New Power Generation) remains an amazing talent and gorgeous bronzed beauty, and Anne Montone with her own signature style of music, intrigued the audience with her unique sound. Violinist Grant Chen offered a refreshing music experience. Designer Engineered by REMY was not present but his models represented him well. Designer Isaiah Garza showed up with a huge entourage to bask in the limelight while Kool as Nerdz kept it cool. Dhakmani Clothing Line was off the hanger, that’s all I can say. San Antonio Rapper Intre’ put it down on behalf of hip hop and the city of San Antonio, as he gave LA a sneak peek performance of his new single “Sweet Life.” Late entry to the show Raphael Saadiq’s new group Tha Boogie electrified the crowd and “shut it down.”

Getting lots of attention were the actresses of Wicked Ent. such as Jessica Drake and Kaylani Lei. Fitness Trainer Sam Bell of Sam Bell body was equally popular in the VIP area. He revealed to a close source that he might break away from his traditional GQ suit attire for a more revealing summer look at what makes Sam Bell Body so fabulous. That will be shot to hold your breath for. Pretty Latina actress Kikey Castillo dropped by to support. Kikey has a kittenish sultry appeal. She looks like she could be Eva Longoria’s baby sister. Hamming it up on the red carpet with Luenell was Hollywood actor Vincent De Paul. These two get along famously.

Pretty Da’Nelle, Luenell’s sweet faced daughter was sitting quietly taking it all in and enjoying the atmosphere.
Famed Music producer Ollie E. Brown made sure to secure a ringside seat and table in the VIP area for him and his wife dancer Terry Brown to see heir gorgeous daughter Bianca Brown make her Hollywood modeling debut.
BET’s (College Hill Virgin Islands) Willie Macc was sensational as always sporting a new hair cut. He looked as if he had just left the barbershop. Willie’s famous huge fro has gone bye bye for now. Big hair or little hair, Willie Macc looks sensational any way you see him.

Veteran columnist turned publisher Buddy Sampson decided to scoop up to the red carpet on behalf of The Scoop LA.
Designer Pol’ Atteu (Anna Nicole) and his significant Patrik Simpson (famed modeling agent) quickly posed for shots and then turned their attention to prepping their favorite blond, Heather Chadwell who was dressed in an eye-popping floor length red laced evening dress designed by Pol’. VHI’ reality star, Heather was a vision of delight and the photogs went bazookas. I was told that a new Hollywood must have make-up artist by the name of Jessica Roberts was the glam goddess that made Heather’s look runway ready.

Other notable celebs included energetic dancers, The Beat Freaks (featured on MTV America’s Best Dance Crew), Filmmaker Lorine Calhoun (coiffed in a new blond Marilyn Monroe hair cut), Filmmaker Miriam Jacobs (“Roots of Destruction” also Co-Producer of Della Reese Presents), Michael Stone “The Ultimate Producer” and executive producer for Della Reese Presents), sultry and sophisticated Country Western Singer SharynLee, Model/Actress, beauty queen Joslyn Pennywell, Audley Harrison (British Heavy Weight Champion), Urban Model Elke The Stallion, actor/Arizona Cardinal Isaac Keys (wearing Kool as Nerdz then bearing it to show sexy abs wowing the audience with his sexy dance moves), and radio personality Dundee of Da Radio Show, among others.

Andrew J. Markham III was an exceptional host. Andrew knows how to keep the show flowing. Mr. Big J, entrepreneur of the tallest order was also in the house. He had a big hand in making the event a huge success.
Producer Dennica Abdo kept cool although a show of this magnitude must have taken its toll. A little camera shy, Ms. Abdo was encouraged to take her place on the red carpet by publicist for the event, Eugenia Wright of ISA Public Relations www.isapublicrelations.com
